Error when running:: apt-get install essentials

Hi

I'm a newbie.

Here is my current system build:

1. debian-503-i386-netinst install into a VM
2. Vmware server 1.0.10
3. system is up and running.

When I try to run as root: apt-get install essentials

***I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR***:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package essentials


***HERE IS A PRINT OUT OF MY***: /etc/apt/sources.config

deb http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian org /debian/ stable main

deb-src http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian org /debian/ stable main

deb http://security.debian org/ stable/updates main


***I RAN APT-GET UPDATE SO THE** /etc/apt/sources.conf has been reloaded.

Are the entries in mt sources.conf, correct do I need more?

what is it you are trying to install ? essentials doesn't seem to be available
