Is there any transparent replacement for Wingate in Linux? I have a small home network that is using wingate and I would like for internet access to be avaliable while I'm in linux and not just Windows.

I'm not too familiar with the program itself, but my guess would be that it's just a proxy server, which you CAN set up under Linux. Tools depend on the distro, Mandrake Control Center, VaST, vasm, etc. If you let us know which distro, and if my assumption was correct, we can go from there.

are you using it as a proxy server or just for 'nat'? you can do either with linux.
