console firewall

I've searched thru freshmeat and sourceforge, but i cannot find a good iptables firewall! All i want is a easy to setup, console (I'm tired of this only for Kde, only for gnome junk, cant Linux gui be standardized like the console?). If anyway has every used PMFirewall, that is exactly what i want, but it cant do iptables.

gShield isn't bad. It's on freshmeat. I'm not really sure how it compares to pmfirewall, as I've never used it. To configure gShield, you have to edit a few scripts. It's kind of a lot of editing, but it works. Also, for me to get it to work, I had to compile pretty much every iptables module (all the filtering by ... ones).

thanks for the info. To continue my rant :) i had included some of those netfilter things after i compiled, so i compiled with a make old config. And on boot up i see those the modules error. </rant> i feel better :D
