netscape 7.02 forward and back buttons fail

I downloaded netscape 7.02 on my linux mandrake 9.0 machine and also on a windows 98 pc (my better half uses it, i know i'm very ashamed)
The 'forward' and 'back' buttons nor right click on the mouse functions... Anyone have any idea why this might be/

I 'dunno, but Netscape may use the 'javascript:history()' functions to go back/forward, so enabling JavaScript support may help?

Otherwise, I believe this type of Q should be directed to Mozilla/Netscape developers through bugzilla instead?

I would have done a search for my question but my back button problem made it almost impossible...
