Kppp

When I run Kppp it asks me:

in order to run this program you need root previledges. insert root password.

and the only way to run Kppp is to insert the password and run it as root.

Is this normal? is there a way for a common user run it as himself instead of root?

I can't remember it off the top of my head but I know that this question has been answered in the forum. Do a forum search with kppp, kppp as user, etc. as the search words.
