When I click on a link for a tar.gz file. I save it in a location, it finishes downloading, but when I go to the location of it. The file is nto there. The file is in /tmp directory. Anyone know how to get things to download properly with mozilla???
Thanks.

Are you using a very recent nightly build? If so, I believe file downloads may be broken. Mozillazine build comments (http://www.mozillazine.org/build_comments/)

This build (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/2001-01-29-21-Mtrunk/) works great for me.

If that is not the case, be sure the file did finish downloading. I don't think it can be accessed while it's downloading, only when it's finished.

Mozilla is still in the development phase. Report it as a bug. In the mean time, use wget to download files. When you want to download a file right-click the link and copy the link location, open up a Xterm and type wget , and then paste the files url.

I download the mozilla-i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz one. That's Mozilla with everything and no installer in a big tar file.

the -installer one asks you some questions, then downloads what it needs to and puts mozilla where you told it to in the installer.

I'm not really sure what the -sea one is... It might be all of Mozilla and then have an installer.
