No way you are going to get `Drake 7.2 to install on that system. You'll need either to go with a really old version of Red Hat / `Drake or go with Slackware. Chances are if you get the GUI up and running then you will have to Blackbox. 1M video RAM is nothing... you may not even get a GUI up and running. Either way `Drake 7.0 and up was designed with PII or better and 32MB RAM, although you can get away with 16MG but you'll notice quite a lag...

i'm running mandrake 7.2 on a
pentium 200mmx
48 megs RAM
2 meg SiS 5598 video card
....
i can run gnome and kde fine, but blackbox runs smoothest. if i have blackbox running, with LiCQ, X-Chat, netscape, and GnomeTerminal open, gkrellm says i'm using 45% cpu, and 75% ram... is this right? or did my configuration really sweeten up mandrake? and if so, should i package my new config as my own linux distro and make tons of $$?... oh wait... open source... oh well...

i'm stoned. shut up
