after i installed Red Hat linux 8.0 i am not able to get the desktop.
i am getting a scrambled image seeming a video card problem.
i have an ATI RADEON 7000. pci card
do i need diffrent drivers as during installation it detects my card.
when i went to ati.com there are no video card drivers avaliable for linux for my card.
if i need drivers where can i get tht frm.

Did you test the video configuration during install, and did that turn up OK?

If not, try to run 'Xconfigurator' (if RedHat has that one) from the command line (as root), and reconfigure your vid card. There may be some other Xconfig tools for RedHat 8, but as I'm not using RedHat anymore, I've forgotten.

Cheers :)

If the X configuration worked OK after testing it during the installation, I see no reason you should have problems with X after rebooting.

Maybe some other people here have experience with Radeon 7000 and RedHat8.0?

Cheers :)

all of my experiences with the Radeon 7000 have been bad... just get a new card if you can afford it
