Ok, here's the issue. I have Linux set up on one hard drive (primary master) and windows on a second hard disk (primary slave). When I boot into linux, all I do is "mount /dev/hdb1 /mnt/disk", and then i can view and run my contents of my windows hard disk. But, when I boot into windows, I can't view my linux drive. It's there in the device manager, but I can't assign it a drive letter. Can someone help me att all? Thanks In Advance, CM.

This is normal as no version of Windows can access a Linux ext2 partition.
There are 3rd party tools available for Windows. explorefs or something similiar. I'll try to find the url for it.

You know, I don't remember where I read it, but I saw an interview with a M$ rep and he was asked if XP was going to support alternative file systems such as ext2. He replied with a "Microsoft has no plans to support these formats, we have consistently proven that the FAT32 file system is the most stable and reliable file system for current computer systems. We do not want to hinder that with other file systems, nor should we have to for smaller renegade OS's."
I especially enjoyed the renegade OS's part. I'll see if I can find the interview again, the quote isn't exact, I don't believe he used FAT32, but FAT based or something like that....the renegade OS part is what got me LMAO though..

Also, tectv has a semi good, although short, article on a few different 3rd party utils that will allow windows to see these filesystems. http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/linux/story/0,23008,2412470,00.html
