I just dug up an old computer and was looking into maybe putting Linux on it and playing around with it.
I was wondering if maybe there was a distro out there that would fit on this computer?
Specs:
Laser Pal 386SX Unity Model
Intel 80386sx Processor
1MB RAM
40MB Hard Drive
3 1/2" Floppy
Modem
Thanks for your help!

with a 40 meg HD, and 1 meg of RAM... it's unlikely... maybe a firewall or router distro... but even then, with only 1 meg of RAM... you will not get X11 on it...

You might find something here. But with only 1mb on a 386sx it doesn't look to good.

Upgrading your ram and finding an old 2gig HD to replace the present one you could run Slack, but the firewall route might be best.

Well, you MIGHT try MuLinux. You'd have to bump it up to 8 Mb, though, which I don't know if you have the slots for... Sorry, don't know too much about non-Apple hardware (I finally found a USE for non-Apple hardware, you see...)!

no
try netbsd; it runs my toaster quite nicely.
seriously though, no, no _distro_ will run on that. linux might, start hacking, the time you spend making it work will be gerater than the value of a pentium 100 with 32 megs of ram.
