anybody tried installing kde3 on woody? I know .deb packages will not be available before one month, and compiling from src would take seceral hours and I can'nt be sure that I'll get it running :( is there any other way? I heared people talking about converting .rpms to .debs, would this be a better solution? thanks

The developers can get it in there as soon as they can. I've heard that using alien to convert rpm to deb is like using a castrated deb. I think Strike said that but don't quote me.
Don't worry about it KDE3 is quicker and has some nice features/fixes but it won't bring increased wealth or love making performace. You *can* wait.

Damn, there goes all my hopes =)

Gentoo users all have to compile from source (altho they are pretty much ensured it *will* work :) ); just try it out, it's not that bad. Just get it started before you go to bed and hope that it works when u wake up.
