Can't get to Linuxnewbie.org!!!

This might seem like an odd question but i hope someone can help. Trying to get to linuxnewbie on my windows machine i only get as far as the blue backround and the ad at the top of the page. After about 5 mins it times out. This is really bad because i havn't got my modem working under linux yet.

Other people in my house usning windows machines and the same ISP connect immediately and have no hassles. I have looked at all the related settings i can think of and i can't see a problem. Who can help me. I need this until i get my Linux machine on the internet!

Install a new browser or update your current one. If all else fails reinstall windows. (Especially if you havent already done so in the past 3 months) :)

try clearing the temporary files
tools-internet options-temporary internet files-delete files

OK, a reinstall of winblows has not fixed the problem, any other ideas?

Have you tried using a different Browser? Like Netscape or something or Upgrade your current Browser? I'm hoping you didn't re-install windows without trying that first. ;)

OK, it seems to be fixed. I think it was something with my setting up of our LAN, so that was a reinstall in vain. Anyway i hope to have my linux system going properly soon. Thanks for all the suggestions.
