need wireless router recomendation

im wanting to install redhat 8 or 9 on my laptop and use a wireless nic.

how easy is it to setup your lan so that you can still use a (non wireless) linksys router AND a ireless router together. i think its the uplink port that will come in handy here.

anyone recomend a good wireless setup other than linksys ?

ive also heard that some of the newer wireless routers have issues with range. i want something that is capable of allowing me to stay connected when out in the backyard, but no further.

I use the Linksys Wireless-G router which works fine. I have an apartment and my range covers 50 feet at least. I've been reading the D-link G router has more problems than the Linksys, but check out some of the home networking sites' forums for an idea of problems with different equipment.

Overall ease of use go linksys. Since you have a router you can just get a wireless access point and a wireless nic.

netgear...it is a access point which i think u guys call it the wireless router...
