Hey Guys,
Anybody knows of any package that i can install that prevents users including me the root from installing a package on my computer.
The reason I ask is, everyday I come back home and start playing a game, that is so addicting and I delete it but when the need is so great I go download it and start playing once again.
In other words I am addicted and I know there is a nicotine patch, Disulfiram for alcohol addiction.
IS THERE A DEADDICTION PATCH FOR THIS GAME? :-)

As root is God, that could be tricky.... ;)
I recommend a cron job (owned by root) that looks for and deletes/removes the game frequently....

Whats the game? Maybe I could get addicted to it also. The we could start a support group.

Actually, there are a number of games that have always been my addiction. I think it started with Super Mario Bros. for NES. Then after that it must've been something like Mortal Kombat for SNES, and then after that the original Command and Conquer for PC. Then I think it must've been Command and Conquer: Red Alert, then Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun, then Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2, then Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge. After that came MOHAA. Now I'm moving a little bit towards Command and Conquer: Generals. :)
EDIT: Wait, Scorched Earth came before Super Mario. Oh ya, and Goldeneye for N64 and Command and Conquer: Renegade fit somewhere in there too.
Of course I now spend most of my time just fiddling around with Linux. Sigh. I can never get any homework done :(.

I've been lucky. My windows partition stopped booting and thus I stopped playing games such as MOHAA, America's Army, Battlefield 1942, Mafia (that is the greatest game), Nightfire, Hitman 2 Silent Assassin(I'm not even going to get started on this one but if you havn't played it DO IT IS AMAZING), not to mention the Command and Conquer's I've played. Yup I was a big software pirate.....oh well those days are not over........unless I get winex working...;)!

Actually, now that I think about it, I've hardly booted Windows at all for a couple of weeks now, and if I have, it was mostly just for a couple of quick games. I find JL.com and other online discussion forums to be plenty of entertainment to replace the fun I had with those games. :)
