HOLY BATMAN! So, what's it like? Has anyone tried it yet? :) I hated the desktop crap myself and it took...well...a long time to load everytime I wanted to use it!

...looked at it. Very nice. But, I'm going to wait until that little BETA word does not appear behind the version. Beta's are notoriously a pain in the *** for me.

sorry for double posting this question, but, does it load faster?

Much faster, ~1.5 sec for me.

Sounds great!

But what is the difference between "Star office" and "Star suite"

I am using OpenOffice instead of StarOffice.

They removed the desktop thing since a while (May) but I'm still using this version. I wonder if the latest build (638c) is much like StarOffice 6 Beta. Is it as fast as SO6B or as slow as SO5.2

I also was using OpenOffice for a bit, but I had problems getting the spell check working. I also had a few crashes with it which resulted in serious loss of mid-term paper.

Oh that's bad.

Well I'll take the next 2 nights to download the latest build of OpenOffice and StarOffice 6 Beta.

grrr... I really hate dial-up.
