I have posted this before, but can no longer find the old thread.
I am trying to use an Apple Pro USB Keyboard under linux. When I was running the 2.2.19 kernel on Slackware 8, the keyboard worked in the terminal fine, but once I started X, all seemed fine (mouse worked), until I typed a key on the keyboard, then both the mouse and keyboard locked up. This morning I upgraded to kernel 2.4.5 and made sure to compile ALL usb support into it. The new results are as follows:
Both mouse (ps/2) and keyboard work fine in command line. Once i get into X, the mouse works, until I type a key on the keyboard, then I lose the mouse, yet the keyboard continues to operate. I have been shown a link from usb.org that states that the Apple Pro USB Keyboard IS linux compatible with standard keyboard driver, and it would seem that this is correct, however, losing my mouse hardly makes me consider that compatible.
Anybody experienced this or know of any other things to try?
