I have been reading around about KDE and have heard alot of people saying that RedHat basicaly rewrote KDE for themselves. I don't like the KDE that comes with RH8 and I want to know if it is actually all that different from the original. If the original is actually different then how do I get rid of my KDE? I did a full install from the cd so I have everything installed there is. I looked through the cds and there are tons of kde tar files. Would I have to download all of those, or is there one big file I could download?

I have not used RH8 for a LONG time. But I know there is a program in RedHat 8 only that
can remove KDE. i think it was
redhat-package-install

. Or compile from source but that takes too long.

Run redhat-config-packages as root and remove all the kde packages.
