What's included in the Debian Potato base install?

I currently have Slackware 7 installed on my laptop. I want to upgrade to Debian Potato (I've used it before and found it very easy to use :)), but need to be able to get online immediately after install to download the rest of what I need. So... What exactly is included in the Debian Potato base install?

If PPP isn't part of it, what do I need to download?

You can configure ppp during the installation. You will be asked by the installer to Configure the Network, say NO to this option. You should then be prompted for ppp information.
