I am having a problem sending out email via emacs. I am using
M-x mail (to send)
M-x rmail (to receive)
I have .fetchmail setup properly, and can recieve mail.
When I send out mail via emacs though, the default HOSTNAME "localhost.localdomain" is in the "from" part of the header.
I would like to fix it so when I send email from emacs, the recipients can hit "reply" and it will go to me, instead of "localhost.localdomain". Right now everyone I send mail to has to type in my address.
I did a fair amount of looking into this and havent found anything.
Also, whats the deal with HOSTNAME, whenever I change it, half my progs stop working and dont start till I change it back.
Any help would be appreciated, and if you have tips and tricks with Emacs please share them.
