newb question

i have windows 2k right now with three partitions on a comp that i want to convert totally to linux

as i type, im dling mdk9.1 iso's

my question is, what do you suggest would be the best way to go about formatting my drive? i could set it as a secondary on another comp i have and format from there. or xosl (im a newb as i said so i dont really know what this does, i just read it from another post)?

You don't want to still having your win partition, if so.. it will be very easy with the Mandrake installer.

Since you're new, remember to burn your .iso as "Burn image".
