I am thinking about trying another Linux distro, well buying one. SuSe.
I would like to know peoples opinions about it. How user friendly, or how similar it is to other distros.

I used Mandrake, but it's too buggy and too newbie.
Redhat is OK, but too plain boring for a desktop machine.

I just don't want a total newbie distro.
So, what do you think of it?

Thanks :)

One of our main programmers use SUSE and he swears by it. The rest of the office uses RH. He loves their tech support. I have personally never used tech support for any distro. I use RH and Debian. I do pretty much the same things on both.

SuSE is an amazing distro. I've used 6.1, 6.2, 6.4, and I'm currently on 7.2. It has improved very much. The setup tool is very useful and powerful although lacking in some areas. Installation is generally pretty easy - a couple minor glitches here and there but smooth for the most part. I would recommend it very much.

I have a GeForce 2 and when I installed Suse 7.2, in Xconfiguration, it crashed !!!!!

Lovely, and it says right on the box that the card should work. I called tech support and they were no help
