I'm wondering how the split is. It seems to me that there are just as many people that like it as there are people who don't. See if the results from this poll prove me otherwise.
Note: This is all out of curiosity. Please don't take this any other way. If you think I am biased (I'll admit I am), I'm open to any ideas for how I can balance this poll out better to accommodate.

Sort of a biased poll ..."Yes I do" on the same options as "or would if it wasn't for the 2 leading wm's"

hackedbox
with bloat already disabled by default
./configure --disable-keybindings --disable-nls --disable-shape --disable-interlace --disable-timed-cache
now blackbox runs as good as fvwm !!
then it's worth using
I like it. But I prefer Fluxbox.

yeah i do. it has that minimalistic feel and overall slickness to it. not to mention it is highly configurable and simple. in fact im using it right now with window maker, another great wm on my other pc. the only thing i dislike about it is the lack of minimise icons. i also have another wm installed, enlight. but i dont use it, its just for impressing peeps to show them how beautiful linux is.:D

It's great.
I wish it contains some documentation, but I can found none!

I see what you are getting at, but KDE and GNOME are desktop environments. This sets them leagues appart.

Good point. Also I forgot to answer your question (though I did vote in the poll). I use Blackbox --was hooked on fvwm for a long time but gave bb another go about a month ago and absolutely adore it (especially after setting up my .bbkeysrc)! Blackbox is just another one of those wonderful projects that seem to sort of embody the gnu/linux/opensource community and makes it a pleasure to be a part of it. On the one hand 'it just works' but when someone like yourself asks the question one remember to appreciate the care that was put into it, and also appreciate that one is able to make the choice! On a whim I decided to save some memory/cpu cycles/X launch time, and was able to realize that in a matter of seconds. Because someone else had the same idea and acted on it the whole computing world was made a little better!

If I could get it installed I would...but for some reason it won't work on either of my linux machines, even when I followed all of the directions to a T.
