Hey fellas,

First I want to thank everybody for all the helpful suggestions that you have to get me started with Linux.

Now for the question...

Does anybody know of any portable MP3 players that I can upload my OGG files to and listen to them straight from the player. I doubt something like this exists, because I've tried google, other forums, and local computer stores. Nothing seems to be showing up. Anybody heard of such a thing?

Thanks for your help!

You could always get one of those portable PCs, install Linux and GPE and use ogg123

I had heard that ogg was compatible with many mp3 players but, sadly, not the one we bought for my daughter.

It might be on a "you takes your risks" basis, as I haven't seen any hardware vendor explicitly claim ogg compatibility.

If you run across one, PM me about it. :)
