I have problems fixing gShield. I configured it and stuff, but I it said "You may have to upgrade your kernel version or iptables version.".
Well, I downloaded iptables 1.2.4, compiled, restarted and, iptables -V returned "iptables 1.2.4". Wohoo!
But, I tried gShield again, it didn't work. Same error message. I'm using kernel 2.4.2-2, damnit it is 2.4.x, and iptables is the latest version, gShield the latest, why won't it work?

Make sure the iptables modules are loaded if they aren't built into the kernel directly.

Either they're built it, or they aren't, and I can't insmod them.
I tried:
insmod iptables
insmod ipt_udp
insmod ipt_tcp
insmod ipt_REJECT
and every file .o, when i also stood in /lib/modules/2.4.2-2/kernel/net/ipv4/netfiler or something.
It says "device or resource busy", so I guess they're compiled in the kernel already?
Well anyway, it doesn't work. :(

If you don't have the modules built into the kernel or loaded then gshield spews a *lot* of errors so I doubt this is the problem.
2.4.2 is only 8 months old but maybe this is still too old for gshield... ?
