wine 20030408

i just got wine-20030408. i decompressed the file then cded to the directory. i ran the command ./configure and it said :./configure: line 88: conf1119.sh: No such file or directory
./configure: line 89: conf1119.sh: No such file or directory
chmod: failed to get attributes of `conf1119.sh': No such file or directory
./configure: line 201: conf1119.file: No such file or directory
./configure: line 949: config.log: No such file or directory
Can anyone help me out with this...

Doesn't the readme tell you to use the wine installer and not ./configure? I remember something like this when I installed it. It's been awhile though.

i used that command also and it gave me the error:

it seems to me like you should try re-downloading the file, or better yet get a CVS version.

you have to run ./tools/wineinstall from the directory the readme file is in.

i redownloaded the file and its the same problems......does anyone post me a link for the cvs version for red hat 8.0???

for normal wine, when i tried to use it than i found out WineX was better for games, i found it much eaiser to download the codeweavers RPM of wine. Thats just my advice. Still cant get WineX workin though :-p
