7 hours installing Gentoo.

and there is something wrong with the lilo that conflicts with my Arch Linux that I tried out.

Is there a way to do a COMPLETE format? I thought I did that with fdisk (deleting partitions then making new ones) but I guess it didnt work.

Is there a way for me to format both of my hard drives (with a dif util instead of fdisk, unless I missed something) before installing gentoo? Just to let you guys know, my box is pretty much useless, so I need to find some program to use in the gentoo liveCD (stage 1)

I'm not sure I understand is the problem in your boot loader or in the partition?
if it's the boot loader you have to edit lilo.conf and re-run lilo
if it's the partition I think mke2fs might do the trick
