If so, where can I get it? scanez 09-07-2001, 12:53 AM Um, doesn't real.com have a unix downloadable version on their webpage? If not, there are RealPlayer rpms and debs out there, for rpm try rpmfind.net and for debs check out some contrib, non-free, non-us sites. SC Malakin 09-07-2001, 01:08 AM If by alternative you mean something else that plays realmedia files, I don't think so. Otherwise realplayer runs very nicely in Linux. I installed it with the rpm, when I click on rm/ram links in konqueror they play in realplayer and all that. dhyatt 09-07-2001, 01:17 AM I found the Download... http://scopes.real.com/real/player/unix/unix.html but it's not installing on Mandrake 8.1 Beta 2... pulling up a rpm package error??? dhyatt 09-07-2001, 01:38 AM Ah, I've got it installed by compilling the installer but the sound comes out garbelled. element-x 09-07-2001, 01:57 AM http://huxley.real.com/real/player/unix/unix.html?src=rpbform ^ download also available from I suppose if you have a version of Windows installed on your machine and WINE installed, you could run the win32 version of RealPlayer on your linux system. If it comes to that. justlinux.com
