I can only see about 1/4 of my desktop at a time. What config file do I need to adjust to change the resolution?

I.e I need to shrink the size of the displayed desktop.

if you go to the prompt and type
configureX
or somthing along those lines you can setup your monitor from res to the colour its ll there...

Thanks for the help. I guess it was configured right, I just needed to hit the ctrl+alt+ (+/-) to change between modes.

Sounds like ya just had it set fer a mode and to have a virtual screen size larger...

xf86config will letchya reset all that :)
