i have a redhat 7.3 pro server and win-xp workstations, and win advanced server 2000 on my network. The problem i have is everytime i shutdown a workstation i will have to relogin to the samba server to use the shared folder on the linux box. The advanced server boxes maintain their link.
What can i do to make sure the xp boxes maintain the link or share after reboot without me having to manually log in?

Secondly, how can i con figure samba to let the public folder read and write to every user valid to it?
