Hi all,
Ive been trying to get my sound card configured using harddrake, after making the necessary changes to irq's etc....it will play the 8 bit sample and then the 16 bit then it throws up an error message and I don't get the option or the possibility to save the current settings!so.................
bearing in mind im a TOTAL newbie, I looked in the NHF's about configging the soundblaster and it says where to obtain the correct drivers etc now this assumes that my modem is already configured and I have access to the internet, well at present I dont! as I have a win modem, until such time as I replace my modem can I pick up the driver through windows, put it on a disk and then install it under Linux??
I apologise in advance if this is a totally ridiculous question........what can I say it really is like starting over if you've cut your teeth on windows.........but on first impressions I am impressed and looking forward to becoming part of the linux culture.
Many thanks in advance for any responses and not flaming me!
