can any of the common lin email clients do webmail fetching like hotmail netscape yahoo ect ect can say evolution be set up to notify me when i get an email in my webmail account

i ask because i do have those accounts but also my college runs their mail service thourgh imp webmail and guava so it would be really nice not to have to open a browser and go log in all the time at any of them

Wouldn't solve all your probs but Gkrellm has a pop3 mail checking thingy......you set it to check every ?? mins and if there's new mail it tells you. So you don't need to keep checking!

You can try YoSucker (http://yosucker.sf.net) for getting Yahoo! WebMail.

i found gotmail i guess checkers will work, for what i want, but i none of them will do netscape, i fixed my imp by just forwarding to one of my other accounts
