I don't like cookies on my computer.

I don't want most web sites to remember me.

I don't want to have cookies set just to watch some news feed video.

Is this abnormal of me? Does everybody else willingly and happily allow the thousands of cookies to be set on their computers?

I have my preferences set to allow cookies, but ask first. And, 99% of the time I say no. And, I like the way mozilla remembers that and doesn't bother me with those cookies again.

However, I must allow some cookies to do some of the things I do online, like online banking, etc.

So, how do you feel about cookies?

thanks...

i have mine set up exactly the same way as you. i also don't allow cookies unless they are from the originating site.

i personally think that many sites use cookies to spy on people.

i also disagree with having a site storing data on my computer that i don't want.

Ditto.

Oddly enough, I was looking up some news at our local newspaper's site, and it wouldn't let me in without setting a cookie.

I went to our local TV station's site, which did :D

I also turn off Javascripting (I use Konq most of the time, Moz when I need to use a site with all the bells and whistles).

I mean, jeez, I've got a real good memory (I remember phone numbers from 1970), so it's not like I really need to have some fscking cookie planted on my HD. In fact, the only cookie I've got set to accept is for the JL Forums...

My preferences are set to accept cookies from the originating site only. If I wanna change this it's simple (disable cookies). I also set the sucker to block cookies cookies from various sites. Doubleclick.net goes nowhere.
