I just installed some type1 fonts for X, and by looking at my logs X seems to find the fonts and load them with no problem. However, when I go to the KDE control center to change fonts, I don't see any of the new ones there.

I'm figuring I have to simply add a line to a config file somewhere to get KDE to see these new fonts, but what file would that be?

Thanks for the help, and btw I'm using KDE 2.1.2 and X 4.1.0

anyone? I have a ton of fonts installed in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts ... X starts up fine and loads these fonts fine, however, when I go to the KDE Control Center to change fonts I only have 3 possible fonts - bitstream charter, courier, and cursor.
What do I have to do to get KDE to see all the extra fonts I have?

First, I'd like to know how you know they are loading fine?

Second, I'm sure this is at KDE.org, if you can't find an answer here. I think this has to do with editing a config file and running mkfontdir or something like that.
