I mostly just wanted to be able to access all my data and my MP3s on my NTFS partitions.. Thanks for the info, would you advice any software that will enable me to view the partitions in Linux? prince_kenshi 02-20-2001, 02:43 AM Here's a program you could try: Linux. If you have a somewhat modern kernel, it should have NTFS support. I have 6 NTFS partitions mounted right now. Just make a directory to mount them to, preferably something in /mnt. I'll assume it's /mnt/win. Then, supposed that your Windows partition is the first thing on the first drive, you would do this: mount /dev/hda1 -t ntfs /mnt/win It's rather simply once you get used to it. Kube 02-20-2001, 08:24 AM Yeah I have mandrake v7.2, it is the latest version, so I suppose that this should work fine... But one more thing, I am behind a router and I can not seem to configure linux to work with my cable modem, what could be the problem? bdg1983 02-20-2001, 08:32 AM What have you tried so far to setup your cablemodem? Is your ethernet card working. Here's a link for cablemodem info on Linux http://www.cablemodeminfo.com/linbasics.x.html-ssi and also searching here for the topic will give you hundreds of hits. justlinux.com
