I have been running mandrake 7.x for about a year now. I love it to death as a development box, but I am getting ready to build a server: a P90 w/ 16Mb ram and 1.2Gb hard drive. Nedless to say, I am looking for a distro with the bear-bones needed to run a server. Mandrake is a bit bloated for such a small box. I was thinking SuSe or Red Hat . . . any suggestions?

play nice ;)

ummm, as far as I know, SuSE and RH are almost in the same bracket as mandrake.

I'd say Debian or Salckware. Or FreeBSD.

Slackware or FreeBSD.
