Okay, I've been trying out Synaptic and understand how to use it to install and update packages from the Net. But, If I have a bunch of packages I downloaded to my hard drive. How do I tell Synaptic to include that local sub-directorywhen I tell it update its list of available packages?

I knew how to add a resource in RPMDrake but can't seem to find it for Synaptic. I'm using version 0.32, by the way.
