installed 7.1 yesterday and I must say it is even smoother than 7.0. It installed without a hitch and configured the video and everything. But, I am getting a bunch of errors.
This is on bootup....
1) Something about improperly configured modules, it repeats this 4 times with differnet things in front of it. I am not at home but will try and post exacts tonight.
I startx and flip back and these are the errors I see..
1) /dev/dsp device or resource busy
2) xscreensaver unable to get(set) passwd for 'username' then it repeats this line for each user.
3) Something about hardware accelerator not found and it drops to 16bit color.
4) Something about a proxy and as far as I know I don't use one.
5) smb.conf not found , I did not install samba.
The only thing I have found that does not work is the sound, I can play cd's but that is it. If I try a midi I get and error about device busy but if I try an mp3 it shows to be playing but no sound comes out.
This morning when I got up it had an error about enlightenment crashed trying to access memory it did not have permission to access?
But even with this post said I really like slack. If you know what you are doing, or don't mind redoing things you can make it one tight ship. If anyone has suggestions about any of these let me know and i will try them as soon as I can get home and let you know back. Gotta get out the notebook and start taking notes again.
