okay, i just installed blackbox...how do i make X start up blackbox every time i type startx?

create (or edit if it's already there) a file in your home directory called .xinitrc and add "exec blackbox" to the file (no quotes).

that should do it....

when i treid this it did not work so you might want to take a look at older posts in the window managers section and check out the NHF on installing blackbox

You might not need the exec in front of blackbox. But that will/should work.
