I've finally managed to install Mandrake 9.0 on my Compaq Presario 900. Unfortunately, I have to give Linux a complex (well, to me anyway!) command to start up properly and must use "nousb". I can use my touchpad but I have a great Logitech optical set up on my USB port which doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to re-enable USB and use the mouse with the laptop? It would be even better if I could use both the mouse and touchpad. I've searched around a bit but since I'm a newb with Linux, I can't really make heads or tails of what to do next. Precompiled kernels? :eek: Thx!
