Im looking to build a cheap linux box running redhat 8.0 or 9 when it comes out. I would really like to have very linux compatible hardware. I need to run the video resolution at 1024x768. Can anyone recomend a good motherboard with sound, nic, and video? I am trying to keep this cheap so I was looking at the BIOSTAR M7VKQ for an AMD processor. (this motherboard has everything intergerated but it dosent have to be) It has a Trident Blade 3D intergerated video card, AC'97 2.2 sound, and a RealTek RTL 8100 10/100 NIC. Anyone think this is a good choice? Anyone got a better more compatible solution? Id like to base this system off an AMD chip unless someone has a better suggestion. Thanks for the help!
