Anybody have any idea how to reinstall linux mandrake 8.0, i already have mandrake 8 installed but i want to reinstall it cause im havin some problems. i would prefer to use a gui instead of command line, thanks alot!!! :eek:

Have you installed the GUI files but just not configured it to load on startup? That sometimes happens. Try running Xconfigurator from the command line as root. I think that's what it's called at least. Should be able to configure X and set it to load on startup from there. I think.

woww, thats way over my head, newbie here lol. I want to completley install mandrake, not just the guis or xwindows :p

Then just go ahead and reinstall it.
Pop in the CD, and boot up the machine. When you get to the disk partitioning tool, reformat your existing Linux partition(s), and you are all set.
Make sure you don't touch any Windows partitions though - if you have one, and are planning to keep a dual-boot system.
