I'm about to build an FTP server with redhat 7.1 with the intention of transferring a lot of very large files. I'm going to have a separate 40 Gig drive for the FTP server.
I've set up windows FTP servers before, but never tried in linux. I assume that you can change the root of the FTP server (i'll probly be using wu-ftpd). Where should I put the root of the FTP server? Where should I mount the 40 G drive? Does anyone have any advice for setting up a high-volume FTP server? (it will probly only be a few users, though, not more than 5 simultaneous)
thanks,
dbc
