I've got a geforce2 that i'm trying to use to play counterstrike on wine. I got it working sort of (only works as root etc for now).
When I start the game, the monitor clicks like nuts, then settles into the top right corner of my screen (a 640x480 portion of my 1600x1200), then I'll click on a menu item, and it'll go nuts again, then settle into 640x480 into the top part of my screen, then the next time I click it will move up to full screen and behave normally from that point on. How can I fix this?
EDIT: if I put a +connect command on the command line, then it'll click a bunch of times, and finally settle right into the correct resolution. Can I fix this by removing some of the resolutions from my XF86 config file? And just have the necessary resolutions?
