I never tried this but can Linux read Mac Formatted Floppies? Or will it require a program like MacPC? I would think that OS X could be read by Linux but not sure.

I think you have compile support into kernel for the mac file system could be wrong.
If you are using Mandrake their set utilities called Mac Utils if think they can do it.
But not 100% sure on either
