Hey gang,
Just installed Slack 8, and I am wondering, how do i get my wheel on my mouse to work. I know how to do it in X 3.3.6, but it doesn't work in 4.0.1. I am using KDE 2.1 as my Windowing environment. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
adam

Woof!
Edit your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file to include support for your wheeled squeaker by adding this line in the Mouse section:
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Save, restart X, and you should be able to cruise around documents with just the flick of a finger!

Thanks Siskmarek, that did the tric. With one exception. the wheel mouse doesn't work in Netscape communicator 4.77. Anyone know how to get this runnin with Netscrape? The wierd thing is, when it comes to the first screen when you open it, the grey 'about' screen, if I roll the wheel, it kicks to my home page, but doesn't scroll through pages. Any ideas?
Thanks,
adam
