Heres a good question, hope you can help

OK, I have a 1.95 GB partition at the front of my first HD, then a 3.5 GB partition at the end of my second HD. I was installing Suse 7.1 last night and didn't have enough room for everything on hda1, so I made hda1 my /home partition and tried to make hdd5 my / partition. I don't think lilo liked that very much, so is it possible, or should I put another partition at the front of hda1 mounting it at /boot ???? I could also image my winders partition and redo all the partitioning to give me more room on the first drive, but that seems to easy.

You'd probably want a "/boot" partition at the beginning of your first drive. And also make sure that you write LILO to the MBR of the first drive. ;)
