So... finaly after several months of putzing with linux, and getting frustrated and giving up, and coming back (wash rinse repeat) mostly due to internet conection problems (*@$%@ winmodems).... I'm finaly successfuly online. And.... while satisfying in it's own little way, it leaves a bit to be desired.

I've got Suse 7.1 pro. Using Konquerer and Kmail. It works.... but... I'm not real sure I like it. The distro does have netscrape which, I am not at all fond of.

I'm curious to know if there are any readily available, easy for newbies to outer-figure, and functional with bells and whistles browsers available for me to look into.

Thanks for any help.

konquerer does bite, mozilla works nicely and is easy to install.. you can get it from www.mozilla.org

Mozilla is nice, however many people find it to be too bloated.

Galeon is based on the principle of simplicity, which means its not an email client or a news reader, but it has some amazing features that are great.

You can block all images from a server with a right mouse click. This can block major adservers making the internet a little bit less annoying.

Ad-Blocker, pretty much all *nix browsers have em.

Smart Bookmarks Toolbar, create your own Google toolbar, for any site.

Galeon is based on Mozilla so it'll be the same rendering engine either way.

Oh, and the mozilla profile system is very annoying. Galeon just uses the user's account to store it.

OK, im done ranting. :D
