im running Slackware 8.0 with the newest kernEl, 2.4.10. before updating from 2.2.19, i had a lot of trouble getting my resolution set properly. the screen is bent, off center, and does not use all of the screen size for it's display. i've played with xf86config a number of times, as well as lilo.conf . is there another file i can look in to fix the screen size? i've tried all possible combinations in both lilo and xf86config and still turned up nothing.
any help would be greatly appericiated.

xconfigurator. Also, you may have a program called SuperProbe on your machine. It will tell you all about your video.

yes, i know i have a problem with the spelling of kernEl. thank you for pointing it out, its one of my little bad habits.
i tried xconfigurator in the terminal, but it said there was so such command. is there a specific directory i have to be in when i type it?
and the program called superprobe, where would it be located? i dont think it was something i included during my installation.
any other ideas?
