How to change KDE time format?

I know, dumb question - but I just can't seem to figure it out or find the info.

How do I change the clock from military time to am/pm format in KDE?

Yeah, that one got me too. And the solutin isn't obvious. You need to change all the preferences for your clock to United States. That will do it. You may have to restart XWindows to make the change occur.

I'm in GNome right now or I'd look to see what the exact steps are. But basically just set everything to "United States"

Can you not right-click on the clock and select the format you want? The option should also be in the KDE Control Centre. If not, the FAQ's at www.kde.org (http://www.kde.org) should have the answer.
