K3b

I just installed K3b and I am having some problems to get it to run.

First off I keep receiving a message stating that I have not run the setup. I have run it about 5x's now. I installed the software in /opt/kde3 and I ran the setup in root.

2nd: I cannot burn a cd. I receive a message stating the cdrdao driver is missing or not installed. I just installed cdrdao and verified that k3b is pointing to the correct directory.

Any Suggestions?

check the access permission for cdrao b/c i know the redhat by default doesn;t let anyone but root burn cds so you either need to run it as root or add yourself to the xcdwrite group or set o+x for the file

I tried that but it is still asking if I want to run setup????
